City Mayor Nail Magdeev visited a camouflage netting production site for the special military operation zone, which is organized in an apartment in a residential building in the 51st complex.
The site was organized by Tatyana Trubnikova, coordinator of the all-Russian volunteer organization OPSB for the city of Naberezhnye Chelny. She arranged for the installation of five weaving tables: two tables measuring 2x2 meters and three tables measuring 3x6 meters. Multiple nets can be produced here simultaneously. She also organized the supply of waste material for weaving from factories across the country (as part of the volunteer project "People's Networks"). About one hundred nets have been woven over two months.
"We weave very light, quick-release nets that are easy to join together. We supply nets that can be used more than once. We weave them in a way that blurs the geometric contours of trenches and artillery. Currently, we are preparing so-called spring nets. Afterward, we send them to Saratov for additional completion and inspection. Then, the nets are sent to reconnaissance and tank units. We improve our technology for our boys every time," the woman explained.
Tatyana Trubnikova underwent training in Kazan and continues to teach everyone who comes to help with the weaving. The project currently has two shifts: morning and evening. Today, students from medical and pedagogical colleges came to assist the women. The project was joined by women who worked under the guidance of the TOS chair Venera Naumkina. It was thanks to the TOS chair, who reached out to the head of the Avtozavodsky district Viner Kharisov, that the premises where the nets are now being woven were found.
Nail Magdeev thanked everyone who is helping and asked what assistance was needed on his part. Upon learning that the women have logistical issues with delivering cargo to the first point, he promised to resolve the matter in the near future. Another issue raised by the organizers was staffing: during the summer period, pensioners will go to their gardens, and it would be good if students get involved in the process of weaving camouflage nets.
"You are doing a very important and necessary work," noted Mayor Nail Magdeev. "We will definitely help with everything we can."
