On the eve of the date, youth work specialists from the Zaman Youth Center held the City Military-Historical Quiz "We were awarded medals in forty-three. And only in forty-five — passports" in the assembly hall of Secondary School No. 19, dedicated to the Day of Military Glory of Russia — the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi blockade and the 80th anniversary of the breaking of the Leningrad blockade.
The participants of the event were ten teams of students from grades 8-11 of secondary school No. 19, totaling fifty-two people.

The competition program consisted of three themes: "Heroic Defense" of Leningrad; "Culture of Besieged Leningrad"; "Young Heroes of the Great Patriotic War" - they were conducted in the form of a quiz of forty-one questions and a teacher's lecture on historical facts from besieged Leningrad, accompanied by a computer photo presentation.

The director of Secondary School No. 19, Mikhail Grigoriev, speaking to the students, spoke about the need to preserve the memory of this tragic and heroic page in the history of the Hero City of Leningrad, and to pass it on to current and future generations of Russians about the fallen heroes and their feat.

The winners of the quiz were: the team "Fortress" (11M) took first place; the team "Liberation" (11G) took second place; "Stalin's Falcons" (11G) – third place.
All participants were awarded diplomas, and the teachers received letters of appreciation.
