Mayor of the city Nail Magdeev spoke with the head of the Naberezhnye Chelny branch of the “Writers' Union of the Republic of Tatarstan” Fakil Safin. Fakil Safin demonstrated how writers are working now.
Last year, at the Ayaz Gilyazov Naberezhnye Chelny State Tatar Drama Theatre, with the support of the city leadership and the Writers' Union of the Republic of Tatarstan, and thanks to the sponsorship of the Profit Group and Marsel Mingalimov, a creative office, furniture, and computers were provided, as well as an exhibition – from the past to the present – depicting poets, writers, and creative leaders of the Avtograd from the day of its foundation to the present day.
The Naberezhnye Chelny branch of the “Writers' Union of the Republic of Tatarstan” is the largest division of the Writers' Union of the Republic of Tatarstan. Writers often hold literary and creative meetings with children and adults in schools and cultural institutions, fostering a love for their native language and native land in the younger generation.
The Naberezhnye Chelny branch actively cooperates with the Tatar Drama Theatre and participates in the implementation of joint projects and events. In 2022, anniversary creative evenings of the People's Poets of the Republic of Tatarstan Rkail Zaydulla and Razil Valeev were held in the large hall of the Tatar Drama Theatre, and book presentations by writers Alfiya Sidykova, Ayrat Sufiyanov, and Ayzira Imamova were held in the small hall.
The “Writers' Union of the Republic of Tatarstan” branch is actively involved with young writers. With the support of the “Izhat” literary studio at the Adymnar gymnasium, secondary schools No. 41, 4, 12, lyceum No. 84, and gymnasium No. 2, master classes and discussions of the works of young authors Ayzira Imamova, Gulnaz Nurieva, Aliya Zartdinova, Ruslan Ibragimov, and Salavat Nazimov are held with students.
Every year, events are solemnly held in honor of the feat of Musa Jalil at the monument to the hero-poet, and events in honor of the birthdays of the great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukay and poet Alexander Pushkin are held with the participation of writers, poets, and numerous guests.
"The Chelny writers' organization is the most active part of the Writers' Union of Tatarstan," said Fakil Safin. "We have 52 members of the Writers' Union, and they are all very active creators. They are published not only in Tatarstan, but also in Moscow, abroad, and in different languages. In 2023, we will continue this work."
Mayor of the city Nail Magdeev noted the importance of the work carried out by members of the Writers' Union among the townspeople and the educational mission for the younger generation.
