The main goals and objectives of the Sector's activities are:
1) organization of children's holidays during the holidays;
2) creation of employment conditions for children and adolescents outside of school hours as a condition for the prevention of antisocial phenomena;
3) implementation of urban programs in the field of education and health of school-age children and adolescents.
3.The Sector performs the following functions:
1) coordinates the activities of institutions of the municipal education system, in terms of the implementation of educational programs;
2) analyzes the content of educational programs implemented in educational institutions of the city;
3) provides assistance in the certification of institutions of the municipal education system in terms of the implementation of educational and additional education programs;
4) provides regulatory and methodological support and coordinates the implementation of programs in the city:
a) development of educational work;
b) "Education and health of schoolchildren";
c) employment of students outside of school hours, including additional education for children;
d) organization of recreation and recreation for schoolchildren;
e) prevention of offenses, neglect and socially negative manifestations among students;
f) sports and recreation activities and sports contests for students of educational institutions;
g) environmental education;
5) coordinates the activities of children's public organizations and parent groups of the city within its competence.;
6) ensures continuity in the systems of preschool and school education in terms of the implementation of educational programs;
7) ensures, within its competence, that educational institutions in the city implement children's rights, as stipulated by the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the legislation of the Russian Federation, and the legislation of the Republic of Tatarstan;
8) within the limits of its competence, carries out regulatory and methodological support and coordination of the activities of the councils of educational institutions, crime prevention headquarters, health-saving services and student attendance control services of educational institutions;
9) organizes, analyzes and summarizes statistical data on the areas of educational work of institutions of the municipal education system;
10), within the limits of its competence, monitors the implementation of the patriotic education program for schoolchildren;
11) carries out the analysis, planning and, within its competence, coordination of the activities of:
a) multidisciplinary municipal institutions of additional education for children;
b) single-profile municipal institutions of additional education for children;
12) monitors the implementation by institutions of the municipal education system of training programs on the basics of life safety and health culture, including the section "Road safety", on the problems of moral and sexual education and the basics of a healthy lifestyle;
13), within the limits of its competence, monitors compliance with labor protection and safety standards in the implementation of educational work in institutions of the municipal education system.
