The Central City Library hosted a creative meeting dedicated to the 140th anniversary of Gabdulla Tukay and the Day of the Native Language. The event was organized for clients of the "Doverie" social service center – people with mental disabilities – by the head of the local history department, Roza Khamidullina, and the head of the day care department, Liliya Sitdikova.
"To be heirs of Tukay means not only writing poems, but also taking responsibility for preserving the cultural code," noted the honorary guest, a Naberezhnye Chelny poet and former КАМАЗ employee, Ayrat Shaykhutdinov.
Together with his colleague Galiya Shakirova, he recited his works in Russian and Tatar, shared memories of his professional journey, and spoke about what inspires his creativity. In the context of the Year of Unity of Peoples, the 400th anniversary of Naberezhnye Chelny, and the 50th anniversary of the first КАМАЗ truck production, the poets' performance took on special significance for preserving the region's traditions. The meeting concluded with a viewing of historical photographs and a video presentation in a heartfelt atmosphere.
