The sector performs the following functions:
1) collects, analyzes and creates a database of vocational education institutions in the city;
2) analyzes and predicts trends in the development of vocational education in the city;
3) organizes scientific and practical conferences, meetings, exhibitions and competitions in the field of professional education;
4) develops proposals for improving and changing the nomenclature of specialties and specializations in vocational education institutions;
5) organizes work on the formation of professional orientation of students of educational institutions;
6) participates in the study of the labor market, determining the current human resources needs of urban sectors and the sources of its satisfaction.
