Municipal Budgetary Institution of Additional Education "Children's Music School No. 3" was founded in 1972.
The first director of the school was A.A. Mironov. From 1977 to 2012, the school was headed by M.A. Anisimov, Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan. From September 2012 to 2024, the school was headed by N.A. Shumilova, Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan. Since 2025, the school has been led by K.K. Nazmeeva.
In 2009, the school moved to a new building and to this day is located on the premises of secondary school No. 43. Since 2020, a branch has been opened at school No. 42.
Today, the school has 5 departments ("Special Piano", "Orchestral", "String-Plucked", "Folk-Keyboard", "Vocal-Choral") with 13 specializations, and 326 students are enrolled. Currently, Children's Music School No. 3 has a positive image in the Republic and beyond, confirmed by significant results that enrich the school's history.
During the school's existence, a stable, cohesive and creative teaching staff has been formed. Of the 31 teachers working at the school, more than 75% have the highest and first qualification categories.
Among the members of the highly professional teaching staff are holders of the title "Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan" — M.A. Anisimov and N.A. Shumilova.
The face of the school consists of consistently active creative groups of students and teachers who engage in active concert activities and are permanent participants in city and republican events.
Over the years of work, more than 1,500 educated music lovers have graduated from the school, many of whom have become professional musicians and work in the cultural and artistic fields of the city, republic, Russia and abroad.
