During its existence, the college has changed its type several times. In 2007, the college became a state autonomous institution. This led to new forms of activity: increased economic independence, development of contractual relations with medical institutions, more efficient use of human, material, technical and financial resources, development of additional sources of income including new educational programs, improving the quality of training for medical and pharmaceutical industries, opening the new specialty "Pharmacy", introducing special courses and disciplines not provided by state standards including on a paid basis, developing paid medical and other non-educational services. The college also opened the "Molodeya" beauty center.
